Choosing the right wig
At Meltelle, we want choosing your wig to feel clear and simple. Start with the construction that fits the way you like to wear your hair. Our glueless closure wigs are designed for easier wear without adhesive. A 5×5 closure gives you a larger lace area than a 2×6 closure, while a 2×6 closure is focused around a natural middle-part area.
Our Kinky Straight U-Part Wig is different from a lace wig. It is designed to be worn with a small section of your natural hair left out to blend over the opening.
Our Honeycomb bob is a 13×4 transparent lace-front style. It should not be treated as a glueless closure wig unless the individual product page specifically says so.
What does HD lace mean?
HD lace is a thin lace material intended to create a less visible transition at the hairline or part. Results can vary depending on skin tone, installation, and styling.
What does density mean?
Density describes how full a wig is. A higher percentage generally means a fuller-looking unit. Always check the individual product page because density can vary by style.
Can human-hair wigs be heat styled?
Our supplier lists the virgin human-hair styles in this collection as heat-friendly. Use a heat protectant and avoid excessive heat to help preserve the hair.
Can the hair be colored?
Some of our virgin human-hair wigs are listed by the supplier as able to lift to a honey-blonde range. Color processing can affect the condition and longevity of the hair, so professional coloring is recommended.
How should I care for my wig?
Detangle gently from the ends upward, wash with mild hair-care products, avoid heavy product buildup, and let the unit air-dry when possible. Store it on a wig stand or in a satin or silk bag when it is not being worn.
